I guess everyone else is too young to have seen Blaze of Noon. An Ernie Gann masterpiece from about 1947 about the early days of airmail with some barnstorming thrown in. Fantastic flight sequences. Authentic. I believe Gann served as advisor on that film and made sure they did it right. Does anyone know where I can find a DVD or VCR of that film?

Don't forget about "Always" with Richard Dreyfuss and Holly Hunter, Directed by Steven Speilberg. A great remake of an old WWII movie but focused around fire jumpers in the modern age. It was Audrey Hepburn's last movie before she passed away. I think it is a classic.

Regards,

I agree with all of these. Especially the One Six Right. I loved the cinematography in that one. You should also take a look at Flyboys. It was a lot of fun watching these guys learn how to fly. And finally, The Tuskegee Airmen was also a good watch.

"The Right Stuff", without a doubt, is my favorite aviation movie. "Twelve O'Clock High" is up there, as is "Top Gun". Yeah, cheesy, I know, but I still like it.

My wife and I saw "Amelia" and were both disappointed that they turned an exciting life into a boring movie.
